Sadie’s Survival Story

We would love to share with you the survival story of a lovely golden lab named Sadie!

One day Jennifer let Sadie out into the backyard for a few minutes to go to the bathroom. When she let her in just ten minutes later, her head had swollen to the size of a basketball. As a physician herself, Jennifer knew that time was of the essence. She needed to get her some help before her airway closed.

Jennifer typed the Ottawa Animal Emergency and Specialty Hospital into her GPS, and rushed down to our facility.

Sadie was having an anyphylactic reaction, and our skilled veterinarians here at OAESH were able to treat and stabilize her in time to save her life.
