Preparing for Your Pet’s Ultrasound Appointment
Potential Risks and Complications:
- Fasting: Do not feed your pet for at least 10 hours before the appointment. Water is allowed.

This needs to be clean. An item may be refused at staff’s discretion (reasons may include hygiene, infection risk, behavioral or other reasons).

NOTE:
- Pet Owners are not allowed with the patient during the scanning/procedure.
- Routine/non-urgent results will not be discussed with the pet owner by the radiologist or the radiology staff. These results shall be directly transmitted to my family/referring veterinarian.
